“Thank you to all the mayors who
stepped up today and braved the cold to raise money for The Salvation Army! Spokane Mayor David Condon’s 2 kettles at the Thor Fred Meyer in Spokane totaled $1,158.95 - an excellent total for just one day. However, the 2 kettles from the Coeur d’Alene Fred Meyer from Mayors Vic Holmes of Rathdrum, Dick Jurvelin of Fernan, Steve Widmyer of Coeur d’Alene and retired Mayor Sandi Bloem of Coeur d’Alene totaled $21,032. This included almost $19,000 in personal checks and over $2,000 in cash and coin. An official total will be reported Tuesday morning.”
