On The Watefront

Work along the Dike Road (Spokane River side) is progressing well this week. Most of the trees and brush have been removed from the northern half of the stretch, opening the vista to the river and beyond. Crews today were busy stabilizing the new softer slope of the bank down to the beach. All the stumps have been removed in that stretch. It’ll be interesting to see if the work continues to move toward the lake. A new piece of public art will honor the Coeur d’Alene Indian Tribe to the north of the Dike Road, toward the sewer plant.
