Jeremiah Mitchell signs with WSU

Today is the first day that WSU can sign junior college football recruits, and Jeremiah Mitchell is the first to sign.

More on the newest Cougar, after the jump.

Mitchell, a 6-foot-5, 260 pound defensive end is one of three players from Riverside City College that are expected to sign with WSU. He is a four-star recruit according to Scout.com, which ranks him the No. 28 junior college recruit in the country.

He is expected to contribute immediately for the Cougars, particularly if Xavier Cooper declares for the NFL draft. WSU is expecting one more junior college signee today, likely safety Shalom Luani.

Mid-year junior college signees have until Jan. 15 to send in their National Letters of Intent.
