Stakeholders Discuss Airport Future
When it comes to meshing the future of the Coeur d’Alene Airport, increased safety rules and future highway and neighbor needs, this won’t be an easy flyover. About 30 representatives of stakeholder agencies came to the table with the Federal Aviation Administration and engineering consultants hired by Kootenai County on Wednesday night to sort competing interests regarding the future of the vicinity of the airport. Neighboring agencies near the airport are hoping highway improvements to Ramsey and Huetter roads can proceed, but there are conflicts with the airport’s future runway expansions and enhanced safety zones.
