Body cameras for politicians

With all the hoopla about adding more cameras to control speeders and prevent police abuse, perhaps there are other applications we should focus on. A suggestion was made when the topic of body cameras for Spokane police first came up that perhaps politicians should wear them as well. We may have laughed at this idea then but, in all seriousness, what’s good for the goose is good for the gander. Shouldn’t we all be made aware of every detail of every discussion involving the passage or enforcement of rules, or issuing funds, which favor one group at the expense of everyone else?

Politicians (and lobbyists) in every level of government should be required to turn on body cameras whenever there is a discussion of any kind during their working hours. Disclosure should be available to the general public. Perhaps we wouldn’t have a national debt of $18 trillion if this idea was implemented years ago.
