No holidays without Christians

Political correctness and the non-Christian holiday disturb me. The only reason these are holidays is because of Christians. Christmas is now winter break, but without celebrating Christmas there isn’t a reason for a break, is there?

Thanksgiving is to thank God for our blessings. Without Thanksgiving, why have a four-day weekend? No reason. Easter is now spring break. Without Easter there isn’t a reason for the break, right? Halloween, or All Hallows Eve is celebrated to honor our family, which has passed on. This is followed by All Saints Day on Nov. 1 and All Souls Day on Nov. 2. So why celebrate Halloween? It is a Christian event.

Mardi Gras is the celebration before Lent, the 40 days of fast and prayer. Fat Tuesday is followed by Ash Wednesday and the beginning of Lent. St. Patrick’s Day; need I say anything?

So it seems that at least two and one half weeks of no school and workdays off and some really great holidays are because of Christians. So I say either get rid of all of this time off and celebration or thank Christians for getting this time off and holidays for you.
