Cheney-Airway route, please

As a resident of Cheney, I can say we highly depend on the Spokane Transit Authority to get us around not only Cheney, but to and from downtown Spokane.

I would like to suggest a new bus route that gives Cheney access to Airway Heights, and vice versa. In order to make it to Airway Heights, one must catch the 66 bus from Cheney, go downtown to the bus plaza, then catch the 61 which, total, is about an hour commute, according to Google Maps.

Not having a route that directly connects the two locations can cause stress on students, employees or someone on a tight schedule. Adding this route would give Cheney locals the chance to make it out to stores such as Wal-Mart, and students from the Airway Heights area can gain quicker access to Eastern Washington University.

I believe that this would be a very nice investment, but I do understand the higher demand for buses, transit workers and gasoline.

All in all, I feel that the benefits of this addition outweigh the expenses.
