Summer officially begins for Mrs. O and me at the first Handshake Productions concert in City Park each year. So summer began Sunday, with Kelly Hughes and his fine band occupying center stage. I’ve caught bits and pieces of Hughes & Co. over the years. But I had never listened to as much of his music as I did Sunday. He’s a fine country Western singer and superb local entertainer. Chris Guggemos, of Handshake Productions, has scheduled Kelly for his other free concerts this summer.
