Blame the owner

Regarding “Officer kills attacking dog with single gunshot in CdA,” (July 10).

After reading the article, and then the many opinions blaming the officer for shooting the dog that lunged at his face, no mention has been made about Arfee’s owner leaving his pet inside a van on a very hot summer day while he was inside a nice air-conditioned restaurant, enjoying his lunch. Where’s the outrage about that illegal act?
