GOP Incumbents Have Huge $$$ Edge
Former Idaho Democratic Congressman Richard Stallings reports raising just over 1 percent of the campaign war chest accumulated by eight-term incumbent 2nd District Republican Rep. Mike Simpson. In the 1st District, Democratic state Rep. Shirley Ringo fares considerably better, having raised over one-third of the amount garnered by GOP Congressman Raul Labrador through June 30. Reports for the Senate race aren’t yet available on the Federal Election Commission database , but as of April 30 Democrat Nels Mitchell had raised about 11 percent of the total accumulated for the 2014 election by incumbent Republican Sen. Jim Risch/ Dan Popkey , Idaho Statesman. More here.
Question: How can Dems compete in congressional races without money?
