Golf club offers hope for pheasant hunting season

Rory McIlroy of Northern Ireland pauses play and watches a pheasant crossing the 8th green during the second day of the British Open Golf championship at the Royal Liverpool golf club, Hoylake, England, on July 18, 2014. (Associated Press)

HUNTING — PGA stallion Rory McIlroy apparently was shooting for a birdie on this hole.
