Walleye fishing program tonight

Walleye, a non-native species detected in the Columbia Basin in the 1950s and introduced to Little Falls Pool of the Spokane River in 1976, eventually flourished in Lake Roosevelt, providing a popular sport and table fish. Researchers say the fish is a victim of its success. (Rich Landers)

FISHING — George Allen of the Spokane Walleye Club will present a free program on walleye fishing tonight, 7 p.m., at the Inland Northwest Wildlife Council meeting, 6116 N. Market St.
