Parting Shot: Are You My Mother?

Kerri Thoreson snapped this photo of a baby bird who’d fallen from its nest. She writes: “Just another day at the office … Miss Annie was frantic to have me follow her out to the backyard, which I did. She barked at the edge of a window well where a baby bird, likely on its first flight out of the nest, had fallen. I rescued the baby with a butterfly net and now figuring the next best course of action.”
