Library To Extend Weekend Hours

Beginning July 5 the Coeur d’Alene Public Library will be open more hours on the weekends. The new hours will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays. The library is currently open noon to 4 p.m. both days. “This is something the patrons have told us they wanted and something our Board of Trustees and staff have wanted us to do for a long time,” said Library Director Bette Ammon. “We know how much the community depends on the library and not everyone can get here during the week.” She also noted that Coeur d’Alene Mayor Steve Widmyer and members of the City Council had expressed interest in seeing the library’s weekend hours extended/ David Townsend , Coeur d’Alene Today.
