): I affiliated as a Republican in February. It wasn’t easy to check that box, but my
opinions are no secret and my friends and even slight acquaintances know my stances and why I have mostly supported Democratic candidates since my first election—not because of party affiliation but because they seem to think as I do on more issues. So, like Dan, I have no moral problems with what I did, and like Dan, I’m set up to change immediately after the primary. If Republican candidates want to take me off their mailing lists, that’s fine. And if I’m lucky, I can avoid their robo-calls. But I won’t be denied the opportunity to vote against a candidate.
