Focus on riverside casino

I believe that the Spokane Tribe’s casino proposition is a Trojan horse. That horse, in fact, belongs on the shores of Lake Roosevelt, where the Spokane and Columbia rivers create an awesome destination resort site.

The Spokane Tribe could provide tremendous opportunities for the people on the reservation. Year-round recreational activities exist and would support a hotel and enlarged casino to pay the bills. They currently have a marina, RV park and small casino at this location, which is only 50 miles from their proposed location in Airway Heights.

Why spoil the Kalispels’ business model when they could create their own at Two Rivers Resort? Perhaps the Spokane Tribe can’t see the forest because of the trees.
