A Tax Write-Off?

When Otter signs the guns on campus law, can professors write off the purchase of guns? Is it considered a school supply that is not provided by the college? — A Facebook Friend.

Question: Now that the legislative brain trust has decided that our college campuses will be safer with guns allowed on them, shouldn’t it also provide a tax exemption for instructors/prof who arm themselves against the new threat?
