Bundy isn’t a racist

Some recent letters have described Cliven Bundy as a racist. The writers of these letters are relying on misleading and incomplete media articles, such as those printed in The Spokesman-Review, or have been watching edited videos posted on the Internet.

You can see a more complete copy of his press interview on Youtube. He never said blacks were better off as slaves, but that they had stronger families. He praises the work ethics of Mexican immigrants and claims their family structures are better than “most of us white people.”

Bundy may not be a politically correct speaker, but if you listen to the whole interview rather than take a portion out of context you can see he cares about people, including minorities. He is definitely not a racist.
