Tea-publicans Backing ‘Integrity’ PAC

On Monday, I received two fliers in the mail attacking Gov. Butch Otter and incumbent Attorney General Lawrence Wasden, sponsored by an organization called Integrity in Government PAC. You can see the slam against respected AG Wasden above. I was surprised that Tea-publicans had the kind of money needed to circulate the attack fliers, until I looked up Integrity in Government PAC online. The PAC is rolling in dough as contributors from southeast Idaho, Wyoming and Utah are dumping $10,000 to $15,000 apiece into the PAC. Christopher Van Buren of Orem, Utah, and Zermatt Consulting of Jackson, Wyo., dumped $10,000 apiece into the PAC Friday. Click here. You can find $87,000 more from 7 more individuals from last week, most from Idaho Falls. Click here. And here’s almost $20,000 more. Marge Arnzen of Cottonwood is listed as the treasurer of the organization. Integrity in Idaho Web site here.

  • Factoid: Integrity in Government gave $3000 to local Tea-publican organization, Kootenai County Republican Concerned Citizens.

Question: Wouldn’t you think that a PAC that calls itself Integrity in Government would be more transparent re: who is involved in the organization?
