Post Falls Man Charged With Robbery

Post Falls Police has detained Raymond Matthew Alterton, 56, Post Falls, in connection with this morning’s alleged bank robbery at Bank of America in Post Falls. Alterton is being interviewed at the Post Falls police station and is expected to be booked into the Kootenai County Jail. Alterton was stopped on Interstate 90 in Post Falls less than four hours after the alleged robbery. Police are not disclosing how he was located. They said several tips were received after a photo of the suspect was posted on Facebook/ Coeur d’Alene Press.
