Haskell suited to role
Regarding the Oct. 9 edition of The Spokesman-Review and the article about Spokane County paying a $350,000 settlement:
If anyone has any doubts yet about who to vote for county prosecutor, this should add clarity, especially if anyone has ever been a crime victim. As an investigator myself, I would think that just about everyone in this city and county qualifies for that.
It is clear that Breean Beggs’ primary concern is for the criminal, not the victim. As a defense attorney, that is how it should be. But we do not need a defense attorney as the head prosecutor; we need someone whose primary consideration is toward the victims, not the criminals. I think someone has their roles confused, but judging by today’s standards, that seems to be the norm.
Anyone who is wondering how to vote, read the article. That should suffice, although one can research further and come to the same conclusions. My vote goes to Larry Haskell.
