Clemson receiver transfers to WSU

The official WSU football Twitter account broke the news this morning that Kyrin Priester will be joining the team.

More on WSU’s new receiver after the jump.

Priester signed with Clemson out of prep school as a three star recruit but was dismissed at the start of this season for what Tigers coach Dabo Swinney called , “an attitude that is not acceptable to our standards.”

The freshman receiver played on special teams in Clemson’s season-opening loss to Georgia. Coming out of high school he gave a verbal commitment to play for North Carolina State but switched his allegiance to Clemson while attending prep school at the Fork Union Military Academy. He also received scholarship offers from Georgia, Ohio State, South Carolina and other schools.

It is likely that Priester signed a non-binding financial aid agreement with WSU. We’ll have more information on WSU’s newest player when it becomes available.
