Threat from within

Conservatives have been successful over the last few decades at eroding the public’s faith in government and government institutions, in part by their constant berating and never-ending negative campaigning against same. In order to ensure their success, conservative lawmakers have consistently cut the budgets of these government entities over the years to the point where they are now incapable of accomplishing their respective missions.

My question is, then: Who is the biggest threat to our democracy, entities like ISIS, or our political insurgents, who are determined to bring down our government from within?
