Artists Sought For Dike Road Art
The city of Coeur d’Alene’s Arts Commission is seeking artists for an art piece to be installed along the Centennial Trail in the Higher
Education Campus (about 50 yards northwest of the Dike Road on the river side of the trail, toward the wastewater treatment plant). The city has budgeted $45,000 for the art, from art funds set aside by the city and the Lake City Development Corporation. The selection process for the artwork will be a cooperative effort involving the tribe, city, and North Idaho College. The goal for this art placement is to recognize the culture and history of the Coeur d’Alene Tribe. Officials hope to inspire higher learning, reflect the history and formation of our community and portray the diverse groups that created our city/
