Time For Reform Not TV Face Time
Marty Trillhaase/Lewiston Tribune opines that Congressman Raul Labrador is more interested in talking to Bob Schieffer on “Face the
Nation” and increasing his national profile than he is in fixing immigration:
“Increasingly, he justifies his actions on the basis of political concerns rather than differences over policy. For more than a year, he has urged fellow Republicans to drop immigration reform as toxic.’Anything that you pass to the Senate piecemeal, they’re going to try to conference it with their Senate bill,” Labrador told the Huffington Post. “It’s not worth doing it.’ Idahoans need immigration reform more than a congressman who is gaining a national television profile. Their agricultural industry depends on it. There are now 50,000 undocumented workers in the Gem State — one of the few places where that population has increased.”
