Coho count nice way to end September

FISHING — It’s been a good year for Columbia River spring chinook, a record year for sockeye, a record or near-record year for fall chinook, and now the latest about coho…. drum roll, Please:
“The 181,514 adult coho counted at Bonneville Dam through Sept. 30 is the 2 nd highest since at least 1938,” says Joe Hymer, Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife Columbia River salmon specialist.
“he record is 225,388 fish in 2001.”
