Milestone: Jimmy Carter Turns 90
One of Georgia’s most famous politicians has just reached a milestone birthday. Former President Jimmy Carter turned 90 years old
Wednesday and Channel 2’s Linda Stouffer was at the Carter Center to see how supporters helped make his birthday memorable. Volunteers at the Carter Center celebrated with the former president and his wife. They also welcomed the former first family to check out their newly planted garden at the Carter Center. People sent in cards from all over the country to President Carter with messages like, “Happy birthday” and “You are my hero.” Even his 5-year-old great-granddaughter presented him with a handmade card. “It’s been a good first 90 years,” Carter said/
