Wild Card/Monday — 10.6.14

My idea of a wunnerful afternoon-evening in downtown Coeur d’Alene? Coffee & treats at Bakery by the Lake, followed by a walk on the waterfront that included an impromptu concert of classical music by four sisters (on strings) and a horn player in McEuen Park’s Veterans Plaza. And then by dinner at Crafted at 6th & Sherman. It was hard to tell which experience I enjoyed best. It all was made better by presence of Amy Dearest and Okie Doke with us. We ever stopped to see the Rainbow Bridge at night, with the colors playing off the wires. The controversial piece of art presents its best side at night. Downtown Coeur d’Alene impressed our hard-to-impress Portland visitors. Now for today’s Wild Card …
