Ybarra Offers Slogan Contest
What’s a campaign without a slogan? In the final month of the campaign, Republican state superintendent’s candidate Sherri Ybarra is
hosting an open-mike competition of sorts. She’s asking the public to suggest ideas for a campaign catchphrase. “We are looking for something imaginative, smart or just simply great, to ‘stick in the minds’ of voters,”
the Ybarra campaign says on its website
. “The phrase should be short enough to fit on magnets, stickers, or bumper stickers.” The deadline is Oct. 21, two weeks before election day. Three winners will receive Kindle Fire readers. Ybarra announced her catchphrase contest Thursday — and the Idaho Press-Tribune
picked up on the idea on its Facebook page
. Snark ensued/
