Smart votes for Spokane

In light of the recent protests against Sheriff Ozzie Knezovich, I would encourage all citizens to think about making a change in the administration of the sheriff’s office. It is apparent many people are unhappy with the current administration and its ineffective operations. Once again, Knezovich has turned things around to make himself look like the victim and refuses to be accountable.

In this coming election, a vote for Doug Orr will bring stability and transformative policies to the sheriff’s office to address the needs of the citizens and the employees who work there. Orr has a plan to implement the recommendations of the recent Criminal Justice Commission related to law enforcement.

Mary Lou Johnson is my choice for county commissioner because she brings needed expertise to the implementation of the reforms. Her involvement in smart justice reform will make the community safer and give us better value for our tax dollars.

A vote for Breean Beggs will complement the sheriff’s office and county to provide collaboration among all systems to move the smart justice initiatives forward.

Votes for Doug Orr, Mary Lou Johnson and Breean Beggs are smart votes for Spokane.
