‘Walking Dead’ Slaughter Unsettling
As a general rule, I don’t watch the Zombie TV sensation “Walking Dead.” Mrs. O has been hooked on it since Junior introduced us to
Rick & the Zombie menace last year in Florida. I like Vampires, not Zombies. So where am I going with this? Last night, I watched segments of the season opener in which the Rick & Co. were about to be slaughtered for food at a place called Terminus. The segment showed about 8 men lined up on their knees on a trough. Then, one of the captors smacked each of the first four in the head with a baseball bat & a second cut their throats. The blood sprayed & then, in slow motioned, ran down the trough to a drain. I can’t imagine the television industry producing a movie scene like that during my formative years. I’m not judging the TV industry. But I do wonder whether we’ve become so jaded that we watch stuff like this. I did.

Question: What do you think?
