Top Comment: CDAJim (RE: Idahoans are generous ): I think that Idahoans are generous especially when they know that their contributions will stay in their own community or in the state. There is a feeling in Idaho of “we will take care of our own”. As a fundraising consultant for many years, I feel there is definitely a trend for lower income people to give a higher percentage of their income to charity.The reason might be because they are closer to seeing how much their donation will accomplish or perhaps they or someone they know have been there themselves. It is not fair to take shots at higher income people because I know there are some very generous wealthy people in our community and state who do make very large donations to non-profits and a number of them do so anonymously. However, there are also some who could do more.
