Dalton has integrity

As a resident of Spokane Valley, I am writing in support of retaining Vicky Dalton as Spokane County auditor. I must be candid and state that I do not know Dalton’s opponent, so I cannot speak about her qualifications for the position or lack thereof.

I do know that Dalton is extremely well-qualified and has performed professionally and with integrity over the many years she has held the office. I have served on a county pension board with Dalton for the past several years and have come to respect her and her judgment. She does not make rash decisions. Her decisions are well thought-out and verbalized with candor and articulation.

I also attended a residency hearing for a locally elected official that she adjudicated. Even though the official was an acquaintance of Dalton, she took the high road and made her decision based on the facts presented and determined that the individual was not a current resident of the jurisdiction in which he held office.

That is the ultimate in integrity; integrity that we need in such an important position.

Please join me in re-electing Vicky Dalton as Spokane County auditor.
