Centrists ♥ Boise, Spokane Valley
Blue girl, red state. Red girl, red state. Purple city, red state? According to a new study by Livability.com, Boise is No. 6 on a list of the country’s “Best Cities for Centrists.” The top five: Spokane Valley, Wash.; Bend, Ore.; Indio, Calif.; Gainesville, Fla.; and Albany, Ga. The site’s writeup of Boise includes this opening: “Residents of Boise, Idaho, tend to lean towards the right of the political spectrum, but this city has pockets of liberalism and most voters tend to choose politicians who take more centrist views.” Read the full writeup here . It says Boise residents are likely to drive a Subaru, eat at Qdoba, shop at REI, watch “The Newsroom” and read “Good Housekeeping”/ Idaho Statesman . More here.
Question: Is Coeur d’Alene a good place for a centrist?
