Poll: Ybarra Goofed Badly

• Thursday Poll: A combined 79% of Hucks Nation said Sherri Ybarra, the Republican candidate for state superintendent of schools, hurt her campaign with verbiage on her Web site that duplicates wording on her opponent’s site. 47 of 98 respondents (47.96%) said Ybarra hurt herself badly with the duplication (which Democratic opponent Jana Jones is calling “plagiarism”). 31 of 98 respondents (31.63%) said she hurt her campaign “somewhat.” 13 (13.27%) said she didn’t hurt her campaign much. 6 (6.12%) said the duplication didn’t hurt her campaign at all. 1 (1.02%) was undecided.
