Wallace: Great For Weekend Getaway
Mycha Theriault of Canada.com gives the town of Wallace a shoutout: “A number of small community museums add to the appeal of
Wallace’s historic downtown. One of note is the Oasis Bordello Museum, which is housed in a former brothel. Featuring the belongings of the venue’s colorful former occupants, it also houses an antique still and wine press. Similarly, the Wallace District Mining Museum houses historical exhibits and artifacts celebrating the area’s mining heritage. The North Pacific Railroad Museum is also of note, particularly if you enjoy exploring the history of trains and how they supported the development of original communities throughout the continent. Housed in the original train depot, it provides a peek into the area’s past.”
