Arfee: Officer Returned To Scene

Leaders with the Coeur d’Alene Police Department released video on Wednesday showing what happened hours after an officer shot and killed a dog in July. Officer David Kelley opened fire on the dog after it lunged out of a partially opened window near 8th Street and Sherman.  (Authorities originally stated that the officer had killed a pit bull. However, the owner later corrected that statement by releasing a photo of the two-year-old black lab named Arfie.) Kelley along with another officer was investigating a possible child enticement call outside of a coffee at the time. The video released shows what happened when the officer returned to the scene hours after the deadly dog shooting.
