We created ISIS

ISIS may well be a monster, but it is our monster, created in conjunction with Israel and Saudi Arabia to battle Syrian strongman Bashar al-Assad in the same way we created the Taliban to battle the Soviets in Afghanistan. In both cases, the principal beneficiaries were, are, and will be the corporate arms merchants.

This is also another means to get our boots back on Iraqi sand after its parliament refused our presence. The victims? The tens of thousands of innocents who die under our bombs, as well as American taxpayers who will forfeit our schools, our health care, roads and bridges to fund this merry-go-round, last turned in 1985 when President Reagan welcomed the CIA-funded Mujahideen (predecessor to the Taliban) into the Oval Office with lavish praise. Didn’t we do much the same with Panamanian strongman Manuel Noriega?

First we consecrate our creation, then we demonize, then we destroy, again and again.
