Hunter’s lament: So many turkeys, so few grouse
HUNTING — I was out at at dawn this morning for a quick grouse hunt with my English setter, Scout, before the heat set in.
We found two ruffed grouse, but mostly we found wild turkeys. To flocks of them.
Drove my dog wild.
No shots fired.
