Vote for accountability

I’m concerned that our current prosecutor’s office has been poorly supervised in order for the recent prosecutor-bikini-conspiracy debacle to happen in the first place. I think there’s usually some indication before someone does something big to contradict years of good works. If there was this time, it wasn’t caught and probably couldn’t have been from the golf course.

I would feel safer in Spokane if the county Prosecutor’s Office had an objective performance review done by someone with experience managing other lawyers. There is one man in Spokane who has been in the papers time and again for demonstrating he’s the right guy to ensure that law office’s mission includes accountability, transparency and proactive policy.

It’s time to let the local expert in government accountability have a shot at making that department a place we can trust to hand down sentences. I’ll be voting for Breean Beggs for county prosecutor this November.
