Military misused

I see in the newspaper (Sept. 16, “U.S. military to fight Ebola”) that President Obama is sending 3,000 military personnel to help with the Ebola epidemic in Africa. Is that what our military is trained for?

Has it occurred to him that by exposing these military personnel to the extremely contagious Ebola virus, they will become infected and bring it back to our country?

I thought we were training our military to protect our country against war. He won’t send them to the Middle East to fight ISIL. He won’t send them to protect our borders. He seems more interested in Africa than in the United States?

Am I the only one that questions his motives?
