Not impressed with education

Sorry, I was not impressed by the announcement of only five National Merit Semifinalists in all of Spokane County. I was one of two semifinalists and two finalists in a small high school in a town of only 10,000 people. Such a poor showing comparatively makes me seriously question the course education has taken since I was in school.

The introduction of Common Core is guaranteed to make it even worse. It is time to quit experimenting on our children and get back to the tried and true fundamentals of education.
