Planting ill-conceived

Are you kidding me? Who in the world authorized the planting project on Country Homes Boulevard from Cedar Road to Wall Street? The sprinkler system itself is ridiculous. Hundreds of trees, shrubs and grass plants that will be good for about two years and then be unkempt and overgrown and look about like the median from Wall to Division.

I have lived a block off of Country Homes for almost 40 years and the city and county couldn’t even keep the weeds out of there when it was blacktop. They certainly won’t keep this new area any better. Why not low-maintenance plants that require very little water and care?

I can’t wait for them to issue a water shortage for our lawns and then use all that water for the median. Again, are you kidding me?
