City Hall Gas Theft Suspect Caught

On PFPD Facebook: “PFPD has been investigating several gas thefts at City Hall over the past several weeks. The van pool vehicles parked at City Hall had several hundred dollars in gas siphoned while they were parked there overnight. Noticing a pattern in the thefts, PFPD detectives were able to watch the area last night and catch the suspect when he arrived to steal gas again. After they watched the man attempt to take gas from the vans, they arrested the suspect for several violations, inclu ding: Petit Theft, Providing False Identity, Felony Possession of Stolen Property. Once at the jail, it was discovered that the suspect was not who he said he was. He would not identify himself and was going to be booked as John Doe. Jail staff was able to identify the suspect as Ryan Patrick Hoffman, 38 (pictured). Detectives added charges once he was Identified as Mr. Hoffman: Driving while suspended 06-05-2009, Felony DUI, Felony warrant, robation violation, original charge of DUI.”
