Question on Fairchild ‘threat’

With all due respect to Rep. Kevin Parker’s March 29 guest opinion, “Ensure Fairchild stays in region,” could he or someone else please explain the reason an industrial-use designation in the Accidental Potential Zone would not pose the same threat to Fairchild Air Force Base that the present mobile home parks pose? Or, for that matter, have the same negative impact as an encroachment when the next round of base closures is considered?
