Poll: Malek = Best Local Legislator

• Weekend Poll: Hucks Nation considers Coeur d’Alene Republican Luke Malek to be the best legislator in Kootenai County. Hands down. In the weekend poll, no one came close to Malek, who won 104 of 186 votes (55.91%). For the 8 others, votes broke down this way: Vito Barbieri, 28 (15.05%); Mary Souza, 18 (9.68%); Bob Nonini, 14 (7.53%); Kathy Sims and Steve Vick, 8 each (4.3%); Ron Mendive, 3 (1.61%); and Donald Cheatham, 1 (0.54%).
