Businessman, Convict Share Name

Brent Mark Stevens discovered an unfortunate coincidence Wednesday — he shares his first and last name with a Sandpoint man who pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography. Brent Anthony Stevens entered the guilty plea in U.S. District Court in Coeur d’Alene on Tuesday, which resulted in a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office and a news story that published on Wednesday. Brent Mark Stevens was unaware he had something of a doppelganger until news of Brent Anthony Stevens’ guilty plea broke. “I’ve never come across another Brent Stevens,” said Brent Mark Stevens.
