Chrome bright springer action picking up in Lower Columbia

FISHING — Seeing these fish reminds us why spring chinook are the tastiest of them all.
“The 2015 spring chinook season is underway and we have been in Portland fishing the Columbia this past week,” says Toby Wyatt of Clarkston-based Reel Time Fishing , who books anglers at $200 a day on beautifully-equipped boats.
“Catch rates have been increasing each day with 6-8 hook ups a day for the last couple of days with the peak of the run to show up anytime.
“These fish are chrome bright and are the best tasting salmon you will ever catch. We will continue to follow these fish up the river with John Day Dam being our next stop.”
