Behind the scenes of mountain biker’s solar shot

MOUNTAIN BIKING — Mountain biker Danny MacAskill continues to transform his two-wheel skills into art.

When a March 20 solar eclipse plunged Europe into darkness, MacAskill was in his homeland, the Isle of Skye in Scotland, plunging his bike into the moment and rolling the dice with weather to get an extraordinary photo.

This video shows how photographer Rutger Pauw teamed with MacAskill to capture the creative shot they had dreamed about. Days of prep time and a lot of smarts went into being ready for a small window of opportunity.
