Senate is now printing copies of transportation bill…

The Senate is now printing copies of the transportation bill, for which it’ll be considering amendments proposed by a rare six-member conference committee; the copying job was extensive enough that it’s being done on multiple printers and copiers, including one adjacent to the secretary of the Senate’s office. The Senate hopes to convene within a few minutes, but Majority Leader Bart Davis said when it gets to its 14th Order, which is where bills are amended, it’ll go at ease to allow senators time to read the bill before the vote. Some have started perusing it already. After the Senate’s acted on the bill, the House is expected to convene.
